2008 Service Projects

On Thursday February 28th, 2008, 112 conference attendees participated in a variety of service projects throughout Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene.

If you have any questions on service projects or would like to host a project in 2009 in Boise, please contact the service project coordinator Renee Cox at rcox@idoc.idaho.gov or phone 208-658-2151.

We would like to thank the following agencies that are hosting this year's service projects:

  • Project Linus - Volunteers helped a national organization provide security blankets to seriously ill and traumatized children by making fleece blankets and quilt squares.
  • Post Falls Food Bank - Volunteers helped load at the Food Bank and then set up for their annual fund raiser at
    Post Falls High School.
  • Idaho Fish and Game - Volunteers helped assemble Blue Bird Nest Boxes.
  • Pinewood Care Center - Volunteers painted, treated the wood railing and did general clean up at the facility.
  • Panhandle Autism Society - Volunteers painted the rooms and hallways.
  • Habitat for Humanity - Volunteers helped with flooring and siding on the house they are building in Post Falls.
  • St. Vincent de Paul - Volunteers helped at the thrift store and the emergency shelter.
